Produced by (or on behalf of) Newark International Airport, it purports to show regional rail services that you can connect to at the airport via its AirTrain. However, it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s so poorly thought out and executed that it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s of very little assistance at all.

The 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划and most obvious problem is that everything – and I mean everything🔸澳洲幸运10预测 – is way too small. Labelling is tiny, with even smaller lozenges and bullets underneath the labels that may or may not contain the names of the different regional services and New York Subway lines: they🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页re almost entirely illegible. And it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s not like the canvas has no space to spare – there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s acres of room to make labels much, much bigger and more legible.

Speaking of the canvas, it really doesn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t seem to have been used wisely. Why bother showing most of the New York Subway, 🔸澳洲开奖 a simple indication of connecting lines at Penn Station and PATH🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s WTC station would suffice? Why show the Staten Island Railway at all 🔸澳洲开奖 it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s most certainly not a direct connection? This map would be so much more effective if it just concentrated on the regional lines that it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s meant to showcase and just indicated further connecting services where they occur. Get rid of the wasted space allocated to extraneous elements and enlarge the important parts for clarity.

Then there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s the background that can🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t decide if it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s a diagram or a map, wavering between simplicity and “geography” just about everywhere. And the way that the text indicating travel times cuts across the route lines 🔸澳洲开奖 there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s absolutely no need for them to do so. Simply aligning the text to the right would instantly solve this problem!

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测I really try to be more positive with my reviews these days, and look for at least one cool thing or redeeming feature to comment on for every map I post, but… I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve got nothing here. To be honest, it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s kind of embarrassing that passengers are presented with this 🔸澳洲开奖 considering their transportation options to and from the airport.

澳洲幸运十是官网开奖吗🔸Rail from Schönefeld Airport to Central Berlin by Robert Aehnelt🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/berlin-schonefeld-aehnalt/ https://transitmap.net/berlin-schonefeld-aehnalt/#respond Mon, 13 Jun 2016 14:27:57 +0000 https://transitmap.net/berlin-schonefeld-aehnalt/ Submitted by Robert, who says:

6 Month ago the german railway (DB), section Berlin, ask me to make a map. They saw my works on Wikipedia and gave me the job to create a transit map which help visitors to find the right way form Schönefeld airport to Berlin city. Schönefeld (SXF) is the old East-Berlin airport, which should be closed 🔸澳洲开奖 the new airport (BER) opens. But since we have a couple of little “problems” to finish this airport, they have to operate the old airport and station longer than expected. Therefore the “Schönfeld Flughafen” station looks dark, dirty and lost in orientation. So this map should help to find a fast way to the right trains and includes red and green markings on the floor leading to the ticket machines and platforms.

Unfortunately they decided to cancel this project, because of the costs. This means I made a lot of work for nothing. So I decided to use it for Wikipedia. But before I do this, I though I can ask a expert for his opinion 😉

澳洲10开官网开奖 says:

It always sucks 🔸澳洲开奖 cool jobs fall through, Robert – I definitely sympathise with you there! And I think you’ve done a pretty good job as well: this map would definitely be a big help for people unfamiliar with Berlin’s transport network in getting to and from Schönefeld. I remember having to work out how to get to Schönefeld by myself back in 2004, and it wasn’t fun. I think I ended up taking the S9, if my memory serves me correctly.

The map is nicely simplified and does a good job at clearly showing and explaining the options. I like that the traditional octagonal shape of the ring lines around Berlin have been retained from the official S-Bahn/U-Bahn map: this provides a great sense of familiarity. The reminder to validate y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划ticket before use is especially helpful (a surprising number of tourists are unfamiliar with this system), as is the notation of estimated time needed to reach major stations.

It’s unfortunate that the traditional colours for the S-Bahn and regional (DB) rail are green and red, as this makes the map much harder to use for some colour-blind users. Robert has mitigated this somewhat by including route numbers along each line, but perhaps some thought could be put into darkening one of the two colours to differentiate them a little better for such users.

I do like the icons for points of interest within Berlin, although I think the silhouette of the Gedächtniskirche is a little indistinct compared to the Brandenburg Gate and the Fernsehturm, both of which are instantly recognisable. Given the simplicity of the rest of the map, I’m also not entirely enamoured of the little shadows behind the icons: it works fairly well for the Fernsehturm, but confuses the shapes of the other two icons.

Similarly, the interchange design underneath the Information “i” symbol seems a bit out of tune with the simplicity of the rest of the map: it’s a bit strident and overwrought for my liking.

Finally, I’m not sure why Tegel (TXL) airport has been indicated on the map if the map doesn’t show any way to get there. There aren’t any rail connections to TXL, so its inclusion seems a little pointless to me other than to say “hey, there’s another airport over here!”

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划rating: A solid introduction to connections to and from the Schönefeld airport that clearly lays out the rail transit options available. A little more work and this could be really excellent. Three stars.

Updated 168澳洲十开奖网: Denver RTD Rail Services Map, April 2016🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/denver-airport-2016/ https://transitmap.net/denver-airport-2016/#respond Fri, 22 Apr 2016 19:49:08 +0000 https://transitmap.net/denver-airport-2016/ Denver’s rapidly-expanding rail network took another step forward today with the opening of the new commuter rail service out to Denver International Airport – the “train to the plane”, as they (a little unoriginally) call it.

However, for those – like me! – hoping for a new map to celebrate the new service, you’re in for a disappointment, as the latest offering is just a minimally-modified version of the previous map (June 2016, 1.5 stars). Wisely, the future “N” line, which isn’t opening until 2018, has been removed from the map, but almost everything else remains the same as before, apart from two very odd changes.

Firstly, the decision have the new line named by a corporate sponsorship deal with the University of Colorado. It’s now officially the University of Colorado A Line, which is a mouthful, as well as perhaps a little bit confusing. Which line do you take to the airport? The University of Colorado line, obviously! The Denver campus is probably just close enough to Union Station to justify the name inbound from the airport, but as it’s not indicated on the map that point is probably moot.

I’m well aware that transit agencies have to look for creative alternative sources of income, but I’m really not a big advocate for this sort of naming rights deal, especially for an entire route that has very little to do geographically with the named sponsor.

The other weird update is the switching of the concentric fare zones from numbers (Zones 1, 2 and 3) to letters (Zones A, B and C). Seeing as the route lines already use lettered designations, it would seem preferable to leave the zones as numbers to easily distinguish between the two different types of information.

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划rating: More of the same. Still 1.5 stars.

Submission – A Heart-shaped Map for Helsinki’s New Airport Rail Loop🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/helsinki-heart/ https://transitmap.net/helsinki-heart/#respond Fri, 27 Mar 2015 19:54:00 +0000 https://transitmap.net/helsinki-heart/ Submitted by Augustin, who says:

A new ring rail line is soon to be opened in Helsinki, thus providing a convenient way to reach the airport from city centre (only bus services are available as of now). HSL, the local transportation authority, advertises this huge change with a lovely heart shaped map of the ring, conveniently showing all the stops the trains will potentially call at, although the actual stopping pattern on the line has yet to be decided. (If there are too much stops to the airport, the train will not do better than bus, which takes 30 minutes and leaves every 10 minute from Helsinki train station bus centre. My guess is that there will be omnibus services on both ways, and expresses services to the airport using the shorter I way.)

The geographically accurate map shows that, indeed, the completed ring will be pretty much heart shaped. The stylized version does a good enough job for advertising purposes, even showing the transfers to other transportation means, and the transversal high frequency buses (orange lines, known as “Jokerit”). We’ll see how it’s included in the global maps. The letters P and I by which the two services are to be known (viz. clockwise and counterclockwise) refer, I guess, to Pohjoinen (Nothern, as the section from Helsinki to Vantaankoski is on the main railway that serves central and northern Finland), and Itäinen (Eastern, because of the section between Helsinki and Tikkurila.)

Opening is due in early July, but Helsinkians already surely love it! (The completion of that project has been long awaited…)

澳洲10开官网开奖 says:

The map is actually quite adorable, and works really nicely within the context of introducing the new rail service to the public. I note that HSL’s home page uses a heart-shaped icon to represent the new service, so this is definitely part of an overall branding effort.

As for how the new line will fit into upcoming maps, I’ve got some more submissions in the pipeline that give us some idea of that. Stay tuned!
