🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划of all, it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s important to note that is part of a new suite of maps and 🔸168澳洲幸运5正规官网2023 that🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s been in development since 2018. Using Montréal🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s iconic “black background” Métro map as a starting point, this system has been intentionally designed to use a common design language to “harmonise” the user experience for transit users regardless of travel mode. As seen in the photo below, there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s already a new Métro map out in the wild that uses the same design language, although everything has been subtly tweaked to suit the content of that smaller scale map better – look at the comparative thickness of the Métro lines, for example, or the fact that no stations on the REM or suburban lines are named unless there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s a direct interchange with the Métro.

🔸澳洲幸运10开奖官网开奖结果走势图🔸🔸澳洲10开官网开奖: Quite a few people sent me this image, which I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve straightened and brightened in Photoshop. However, I don🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t know the original provenance of the picture. If it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s yours, please get in touch so that I can credit you appropriately!🔸澳洲幸运10预测

🔸澳洲开奖 I last reviewed the 澳洲幸运10开奖官网直播Métro map back in 2016, I wasn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t very impressed – it had moved away from its truly iconic 37-degree tilt to a more standard 45-degree octolinear form and just didn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t seem very polished or confident. It very much seemed like a transitional map, a placeholder for something better in the future… and I think the wait for this suite of new maps has been worth it.

Basing these new maps off the existing Métro maps provides great visual continuity with what has come before, but there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s also a lot of improvements – mixed-case station labels instead of all-caps (finally!), numbered bullets for not only the Métro lines but also the suburban rail lines, and a lovely palette of subsidiary pastel colours for the other services. Using a more standard 45-degree form makes sense now with the increased complexity of the maps, and the way that the space between lines 1 and 2 in the central part of the city has been increased to accommodate the rail stations and their labels is rather clever.

Purists might grumble about the horizontal orientation of the southwestern end of Line 1 (it just looks wrong🔸澳洲幸运10预测, even to me as a non-native), but it seems like a pragmatic decision that allows Line 14 to slot in below it on the full system map, and the legend to do the same on the Métro version.

The stylised background representation of the complex geography of the area seems about right to me: it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s not overly-detailed “faux geography”, nor is it simplified to the point where nothing is recognisable. Definitely an improvement over previous maps in my eyes!

I also like that the maps are future-proofed – the branches of the REM line and the future expansion of Line 5 are already plotted in, and it looks like there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ll be adequate room for labels as well – great to see! Not sure there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ll ever be full labelling for the Pie-IX rapid bus line, but it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s a long way down the hierarchy of the map anyway!

The “two-circle” interchange symbol at Sauvé seems a bit fussy to me, especially if you consider that by rights there should be one at Parc as well – there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s an outside walk involved in the transfer at both stations! A minor inconsistency, but something that should be carefully thought about. I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d probably simplify it down to a single dot for simplicity🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s sake.

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测A massive improvement over the 2016 Métro map, and the fact that it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s part of what looks like a strong unified wayfinding and signage program makes it even better. It pays homage to the past, while also looking confidently ahead to the future of transit in Montréal.

Photo – 168澳洲十开奖网: Montreal Metro Map, 2016🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/montreal-2016/ https://transitmap.net/montreal-2016/#respond Mon, 07 Mar 2016 15:00:34 +0000 https://transitmap.net/montreal-2016/ Spotted and photographed in the real world by long-time correspondent, Richard Archambault, who doesn’t hold back with his opinion in this tweet:

澳洲10开官网开奖 says:

I 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划heard that this map was getting a makeover back in October 2015, but said at the time that I would reserve my judgement until I saw the final map. This new version oddly isn’t yet posted on the STM’s website, so Richard’s photo will have to do, although the dirty and scratched surface certainly isn’t doing it any favours!

🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划things first: the most defining visual characteristic of the previous map – the way that the whole map, made up only of right-angled sections of routes, was then tilted 37 degrees counter-clockwise – has gone, replaced by a very standard octolinear diagram. Words can’t express how disappointed I am by this turn of events: a truly iconic design feature has been replaced by something completely and breathtakingly average. And the only “benefit” it really brings is to allow the middle section of the Blue line to run at a 135-degree angle compared to the rest of the line. The eastern Green line still stair-steps its way across the map, 🔸澳洲开奖 it could run smoothly in one straight line until it simply flips northwards for the last few stations.

My other fear for this map has definitely been confirmed: the labels are tiny, especially compared to the old map. So now they’re small and set in an all-caps condensed typeface, all of which reduces legibility. The reason everything’s so small appears to be the label for Sherbrooke station – it can’t get any larger without cutting into the Green line, so it becomes the lowest common denominator. The terminus station labels are a little better, at least.

I really, really dislike the way that the commuter rail lines run right through the middle of Metro station markers 🔸澳洲开奖 there’s no interchange available at that station. The old map avoided this by running the commuter rail lines off to the side of such stations, and also used a very visibly different station marker for interchanges – it almost was impossible to be confused. Now, the only visual difference between an interchange station and a non-interchange station is a thin grey ring around the interchange station’s marker, which is perhaps too subtle to be noticed on quick perusal. Overall, I do think the commuter rail lines are drawn slightly better than the previous map, though.

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划rating: A hugely missed opportunity for renewal that seems to discard one of the world’s most unique and identifiable 澳洲10开官网开奖 for a completely average watered-down version of itself. A very disappointing two stars.

Video: New 🔸168澳洲幸运5正规官网2023 and Map for the Montreal Metro!🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/montreal-signage-video/ https://transitmap.net/montreal-signage-video/#respond Fri, 02 Oct 2015 20:49:32 +0000 https://transitmap.net/montreal-signage-video/ Sent my way by Patrick and Steve, here’s a short video from Montreal’s STM agency explaining the new wayfinding system that’s starting to be rolled out across the Metro system.

The major talking point (for me, at least) is the replacement of Univers with FF Transit as the system’s main typeface. It’s a very complementary choice, and I doubt most people would even notice the difference in passing. However, I think there’s definitely enhanced legibility, and the use of the typeface’s “front” and “back” variations for front-lit versus back-lit applications is very smart.

The move to lowercase lettering is also welcome, as all-caps Univers always seems very stiff and formal to me. I am glad that they’re retaining historical typographical elements throughout the system, however.

The Metro map also seems to be getting an extensive make-over (just three years after the last minor revision), although the video glosses over the subject pretty quickly, saying just this, starting at around the 3:07 mark.

The iconic system map was simplified, presenting information in a more organized way. With its schematic approach and less clutter, the map is clear and easy to read.

Watching the video closely, most of the changes look good, bringing some simplicity and hierarchical structure to the map. However, I’m very sad to see that the distinctive 37-degree tilt has seemingly been replaced with the more standard 45-degree angles used by 澳洲10开官网开奖 around the world.  Even more than the black background and all-caps typography, this was the unique and iconic defining feature of the Montreal map, and now it’s gone. The map hasn’t yet been updated on the STM website: I’ll be watching with interest for its debut!
