Posted yesterday on the Commanders🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 Twitter account, here🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s a Washington Metro-themed map of the team🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s 2023 season. It basically just places the team🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s opponents for the year on a vaguely US-shaped map using some Metro iconography and colours and calls it a day. It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s superficially fun and adorable, but part of me wishes there was more meaning behind the choice of lines – perhaps grouping teams by the division they play in or something🔸澳洲幸运10预测? Still, kudos for having fun with an iconic local design!

澳洲幸运十是官网开奖吗🔸🔸澳洲幸运10在线人工计划网: Tram Network for Bristol, England by Elliott Sargent🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/fantasy-tram-bristol-elliott-sargent/ https://transitmap.net/fantasy-tram-bristol-elliott-sargent/#comments Mon, 23 Jan 2023 16:00:00 +0000 https://transitmap.net/?p=20258 Submitted by Elliott, who says:

I’ve been a fan of y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划work for a while now, and thought I’d submit my own work for judgement.

I’ve had a crack at designing a map for an as-yet non-existent tram and bus network for Bristol, UK, a city in dire need of reliable, integrated public transport. It would operate as a network of 19 tram lines in and around the urban area of Bristol, with five ‘metrobus’ routes linking the city to nearby commuter towns. Whilst there’s still a huge struggle between residents of the city, campaign groups and the city’s councils, I tried to envisage what a network could one day look like.

I had a few problems in terms of design, particularly trying to distinguish the separate bus routes apart from the rest of the tram network. The city centre orbital route also operates as part of each branch line, with trains running clockwise before branching out into the suburbs, and needed to find a way of denoting this (eventually with arrows and graduated lines).

I’d look forward to hearing y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划thoughts!

澳洲10开官网开奖🔸澳洲幸运10预测 says:

Thanks for y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划submission, Elliott! I like both the way this diagram looks and y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划boundless ambition 🔸澳洲开奖 it comes to envisioning a future for transit in Bristol! While normally I steer clear of commenting on the feasibility of networks depicted in 🔸澳洲幸运10在线人工计划网s, I will just say that running the trams from 19 feeder lines around a one-way downtown loop sounds a little… problematic🔸澳洲幸运10预测.

That aside, the diagram is certainly striking, with its central focal point and use of only 90-degree angles. The liberal use of locality names throughout the map mitigates the lack of geographical cues, though it might still be hard work for non-locals to relate this diagram to the real world. The choice to show that central loop as a solid black with all the other lines fading into it is probably a wise one, though it might be a good idea to not use black (or any really dark colours) for any of the other lines – note how Lines 4 and 12 take on more prominence because that fading effect is not present: it almost looks like there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s one through-running route between the two termini.

A few thoughts – I think y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划station labelling is a little small. A good starting point is to make the x-height of y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划labels the same height as the thickness of y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划route lines and see how that looks/adjust from there. The typeface used, while clean and distinctive has a few quirks that hamper legibility: the ampersand (&) looks way too much like a lower-case “e” for my liking, and Oldstyle numerals – where some characters are smaller than others or drop below the baseline – are something I find just a bit too idiosyncratic for good transit map design. If y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划typeface is an Opentype font, you may be able to change the numerals from “Oldstyle” to “Lining”, where all the glyphs are of equal height and always sit uniformly on the baseline.

I have to say that I found it hard work to differentiate between the tram and bus routes at 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划glance: while the bus routes are🔸澳洲幸运10预测 thinner than the tram routes, it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s not enough to be able to quickly tell them apart. Some things to consider might be an obviously different line style or distinctive col🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划for the bus lines, and maybe changing the shape of the bullets to a square instead of a circle for that instant visual difference.

Another thing I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d like to see is y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划line numbering doing more work to help make sense of the system. At the moment, it all seems a little random. You could maybe number the routes sequentially in order clockwise around the map, starting from the 12-o🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页clock position and paying close attention to the ending position of any branching lines to keep them in the correct sequential order – the outer terminus of 🔸澳洲幸运10开奖官网开奖结果走势图🔸1a should appear before🔸澳洲幸运10预测 🔸澳洲幸运10开奖官网开奖结果走势图🔸1b, for example: it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s the other way around on the diagram at present. Alternatively, you could perhaps bundle routes from each “exit point” of the downtown loop with related numbers… maybe “🔸澳洲幸运10开奖官网开奖结果走势图🔸T1″ through “🔸澳洲幸运10开奖官网开奖结果走势图🔸T5″ for all the routes that exit via 🔸澳洲幸运10开奖官网开奖结果走势图🔸Temple Meads, for example. Either of these approaches would also have the advantage of bundling all the routes together properly in the legend. Using the above example, all the Temple Meads services would run neatly after each other instead of being spread randomly throughout the legend as they currently are. Routes 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8; or routes T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5 both make a lot more sense than routes 4, 7, 8, 17 and 18! Help y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划users find the information they need!

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测A really well-drawn diagram of this expansive fantasy network: it just needs a little more attention to detail to really make it work for me. A great start!

The next installment of the venerable Scream🔸澳洲幸运10预测 franchise will be hitting the silver screen soon, and a new poster promoting it was released on January 1. Seeing as the movie is set in New York and the 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划trailer has shown that the subway plays a part in the plot, it almost seems inevitable that the poster would riff on a subway map theme. Here, each route line corresponds to a movie, with Line 6 – the upcoming film – cleverly shown as being “under construction”. Altogether, the lines form a rough outline of the famous “Ghost Face” mask.

I haven🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t paid that much attention to the franchise since I saw the 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划one way back in 1996, but I believe that the “station” names on each line correspond to who dies in each movie, though fans are picking through it in much finer detail than I care to. One thing this means is that this actually isn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t a very good subway map, as there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s very little interchange between lines: once you🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页re dead in one movie, you🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页re not coming back in the next one (or are you?🔸澳洲幸运10预测). Some New York subway map purists are also taking the poster to task for playing fast and loose with the line colours – to them, the 1, 2 and 3 should all be red, and the 4, 5 and 6 should all be green. However, that would make a pretty dull poster!

However, the main talking point here isn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t the poster itself, but its perceived similarity to a fan-made poster by Gil Marcel, 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划posted to his Instagram account on December 3, 2022 – just under a month before🔸澳洲幸运10预测 the official poster was released.

Like the official poster, Gil🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s assigns a line to each movie, but defines the “Ghost Face” more with geographical features than the lines themselves. As a result, his design perhaps evokes the actual New York subway map more than the official poster, which seems a little more generic.

It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s had a lot of people crying plagiarism and theft of design (though Gil himself is being more diplomatic), but I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页m not entirely convinced. 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划off – given the movie🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s location and plot, this basic concept is almost guaranteed🔸澳洲幸运10预测 to be one of the 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划things that any graphic designer worth their salt would think of. It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s almost a no brainer, and many art directors that I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve worked under would dismiss it as being “too obvious”, wanting me to push harder for a more original idea. To my mind, it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s entirely plausible that these two concepts were arrived at independently of each other.

Secondly, the gap of a a month between Gil 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划posting his concept and the official poster being released isn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t necessarily as damning as it looks. It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s very possible that the official poster started development long before December 3, but had to cycle through multiple iterations and approvals before being released – things don🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t always move fast 🔸澳洲开奖 there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s multiple stakeholders in play.

So what do you think? Coincidence or plagiarism? Which one is the better executed? Is it even a good concept to begin with?

澳洲幸运十是官网开奖吗🔸🔸澳洲幸运10在线人工计划网: New York City Elevated Rail Map by Jasper von Seeburg🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/new-york-el-jasper-von-seeburg/ https://transitmap.net/new-york-el-jasper-von-seeburg/#comments Mon, 02 May 2022 16:00:00 +0000 https://transitmap.net/?p=19655 Submitted by Jasper, who says:

This is a map I designed of the The New York City Elevated System, a proposed automated-rapid-transit system for the five boroughs, to be owned and operated by the City of New York. The 88-mile, 72 station network would run above the city’s major streets and freeways, connecting with 26 subway routes, LIRR and Metro-North commuter railroads, PATH train, a revised LaGuardia AirTrain, and over 120 city buses. The system would have three routes, two of which provide continuous loop services through f🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划of the city’s boroughs, while one provides a radial service stretching from the West Bronx to the North Shore of Staten Island. Its routes focus on growing access to rail service outside of Manhattan, specifically serving neighborhoods in some of the city’s largest transit deserts. The El would operate services that resemble rapid transit in frequency, but with speeds and station spacing akin to suburban rail, filling the current gap in New York’s transit modes.

The map took me a few years working in my spare time. Was my 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划big illustrator project and it’s intended to be both familiar and striking. The design takes inspiration from several subway maps, namely the most recent 1979 iteration, which has been digitally simplified to an ugly and unnecessarily boring degree, in my opinion.

澳洲10开官网开奖🔸澳洲幸运10预测 says:

Oh, I like this! It seems to be envisioning a New York City that never tore down the Third Avenue El, but instead modernised and expanded it to serve all five boroughs. In this alternative vision, many of the old stops in Manhattan have been closed to turn the El into an express service – and if you look closely, only the cyan Roosevelt Line makes all stops in Manhattan, meaning the two loop lines would rocket along on the main trunk line!

Stylewise, the map definitely draws from the rich heritage of New York 澳洲10开官网开奖: the original 1979 Hertz/Tauranac map is definitely the biggest influence, but the legend box is subtly reminiscent of 1940s Hagstrom subway maps. with less stations to label than a normal subway map – which is wisely relegated to thin route lines with unlabelled dots – the typography can be made larger and more stylish. The comprehensive services box at each El station are clear and well thought out, showing which subway services can be accessed at each point.

Our final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测Successfully draws on previous New York maps to create something that looks like it belongs to the city while also being fresh and new. Nice work!

澳洲幸运十是官网开奖吗🔸🔸澳洲幸运10在线人工计划网: Service Patterns on the GO Transit Lakeshore Line by Ze Han🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/go-transit-lakeshore-ze-han/ https://transitmap.net/go-transit-lakeshore-ze-han/#respond Wed, 05 Jan 2022 16:00:00 +0000 https://transitmap.net/?p=19428 Submitted by Ze, who says:

As a little mapping exercise I made a fantasy-ish strip map today of what tiered service patterns on the GO Transit Lakeshore Line could hypothetically look like after the Regional Express Rail (RER) project is finished. Some of it is fairly reasonable/already proposed/under construction, such as the East Harb🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划or Park Lawn stations, Eglinton Crosstown, Ontario Line, etc.; while some parts of the map are a little more far in the future or are unproposed thus far, such as a GO service to Brantford, Cobourg, Uxbridge, etc.

I based the map design on West Japan Railway Company🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s strip maps as I wanted to kind of demonstrate a parallel as to how Torontonians/people from the GTA can reimagine the GO Transit system; not just as a simple commuter rail system, but a more complex rapid transit or regional system with different service patterns, like in Japan. Unlike Japan, however, I also included some “limited express” services that I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d imagine GO could hypothetically operate as well, adopting the “limited express” model that Japan Railways employs for longer-distance rail.

澳洲10开官网开奖🔸澳洲幸运10预测 says:

A rather lovely hypothetical diagram here, and one that definitely wears its influences proudly on its sleeve – the JR West lineage is immediately obvious, right down to the “some trains do not stop at this station” central black dot symbol and leader lines joining stations to connecting services information.

If there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s one thing I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d like to see as an improvement, it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d be a consistently-applied horizontal grid. At the moment, most of the routes on the opposite sides of Union Station don🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t quite 🔸澳洲幸运10预测line up horizontally and it creates a bit of visual imbalance – something is “off”, even if the viewer doesn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t quite know what is causing it. I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve demonstrated how using a grid and aligning horizontal elements to it across the entire width of the diagram could work below. Note how aligning routes to the grid allows the ST and LE branches to mirror each other exactly on their unified horizontal axis instead of the curve on the ST branch finishing further to the right as it does on Ze🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s version.

Of course, the grid could then be used as a way to place the connecting services information consistently as well, and so on… forming an underlying basis for the whole diagram.

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测An excellent application of a proven strip map design that I feel could be made even better by adherence to an underlying grid to give a little bit more structure to the diagram.

Submission – 🔸澳洲幸运10在线人工计划网: West Palm Beach LRT by Adam Susaneck🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/antasy-map-west-palm-beach-adam-susaneck/ https://transitmap.net/antasy-map-west-palm-beach-adam-susaneck/#respond Wed, 07 Apr 2021 15:00:00 +0000 https://transitmap.net/?p=13346 Submitted by Adam, who says:

Here🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s my proposal for a low-floor LRT system in Downtown, West Palm Beach, FL (pop. ~110,000). It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s fun to think about as West Palm actually grew up as a fairly dense railroad town in the 1920s around the Seaboard and FEC stations. Wedged between two large lakes and the intercoastal waterway, the downtown is a fairly dense north-south oriented grid, with a mix of historic homes and apartment towers. The higher-speed train system Brightline has recently started operating between Downtown Miami and West Palm Beach on the FEC tracks, though it shut for COVID (however Brightline is using the closure to expedite resignalling and track work for an ongoing extension to Orlando).

On the Blue Line, through downtown this system travels on Olive Avenue and Dixie Highway. A redesigned traffic pattern would discourage drivers from using these two roads, and would instead encourage them to use the much wider Quadrille Avenue. This would entail a series of required turnoffs at every intersection, such as is used on Market Street in San Francisco.

On the Pink Line, as it exits the airport it utilizes the space around the existing Tri-Rail ROW to cross the very-wide Belvedere Blvd. After crossing Belvedere, it proceeds at-grade underneath the elevated I-95 ROW, at which point it starts street running on Belvedere Blvd.

澳洲10开官网开奖🔸澳洲幸运10预测 says:

As always, I can🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t really comment on the feasibility or likelihood of such a project – although it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s definitely nice to dream of a future where Brightline, Tri-Rail and Amtrak services in southern Florida are complemented by comprehensive light rail “feeder systems” in the major cities along their routes.

The 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划thing I noticed about this map was the superb treatment of the aerial photography base map. It looks like Adam has made great use of the Gradient Map effect in Photoshop to create a stylish dark grey-to-black effect that really allows his route line colours to pop out of the background, but still retain a lot of detail in the photo. I love it, and I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页m totally 🔸澳洲幸运10预测using this look next time I have to make a map using aerial imagery. The white labels stand out nicely as well, the yellow Brightline route and text is acceptable, but the green Tri-Rail line and text is just a little hard to make out. Some minor tweaking/brightening of colours will solve this in no time, however.

Adam has chosen to represent one-way sections of the routes with thinner lines, which is a perfectly acceptable solution. However, he🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s kept the thinner lines centred on the thicker part and has also🔸澳洲幸运10预测 reduced the thickness of the white keyline that separates the background from the route lines. This makes the transition between the thick and thin sections very abrupt as the line weight suddenly “steps down”, and the thinner white outline makes the narrower lines disappear into the background a bit. I always prefer to offset the thinner sections a bit to line up with the outer🔸澳洲幸运10预测 edges of the thicker line on both sides. Keeping the white border the same apparent thickness also helps a lot to ease the transition and keep the thinner route lines nicely separated from the background. See the image below for an example.

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测A simple little fantasy system well rendered on a striking background image. Some minor improvements in col🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划contrast for legibility and the depiction of one way sections could be made, but this is still rather lovely.

澳洲幸运十是官网开奖吗🔸Fantasy Future Map: North Atlantic Rail System by Nick Fabiani🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/north-atlantic-rail-nick-fabiani/ https://transitmap.net/north-atlantic-rail-nick-fabiani/#comments Thu, 01 Apr 2021 05:05:00 +0000 https://transitmap.net/?p=13324 Submitted by Nick, who writes:

Hi Cameron — hope you🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页re staying well these days. I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页m pleased to submit two maps I made to capture the North Atlantic Rail System. The system is a proposed high-speed rail network to connect New England🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s major hubs. In my map, I imagine it connecting to and interacting with the existing CT Rail, MBTA Commuter Rail, and Amtrak systems throughout the region. Taken in totality, you see a much more transitable version of New England. (I also added in some other proposed upgrades and extensions, like the Danbury Branch to New Milford).

This map obviously has some Vignelli inspirations, and this presented some unique challenges. Major termini (like Boston🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s stations, but New Haven, Hartford, and Springfield as well) become unwieldy quickly with so many lines converging. I also ran into a number of perpendicular transfer points that can lead to awkward and messy solutions. I think I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve resolved these about as well as can be — just primarily by how easy it is to scan and understand which lines go where — but I don🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t know if I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d ever be entirely pleased by some of these transfer points. And I unfortunately had to include some angled text; I tried to ameliorate my own issues with angled text by ensuring all angled text points in the same direction (so nobody would have to flip their head back and forth) and by being thoughtful on where and how it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s deployed.

The 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划map (below) is what I call the “System Diagram.” This map helps you visualize coverage, but places extra emphasis on being able to quickly understand how to get from Point A to Point B — while considering all needed transfer points — over everything else, and sacrifices some readability and ease of use.

If the other version is a “System Diagram,” I called the second one a “Coverage Diagram.” Unlike the 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划version, this one sacrifices a good deal of usability — there are a number of places where the need for a transfer, for instance, is obfuscated — but presents a much more legible view of the system. It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s now far easier to scan through and get a sense of the full system and where it goes.

In addition to y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划thoughts on these two maps, I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d be interested on y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划thoughts on which presents the greatest utility for the average user. Perhaps the second version, while simpler, is better — unlike a subway system, the average user won🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t be making travel decisions by a map these days! Or perhaps the full system diagram better conveys the breadth of options available. They both obviously have their own usefulness, but exploring the differences was a fun part of this project.

澳洲10开官网开奖🔸澳洲幸运10预测 says:

These are both really good diagrams, Nick – definitely evocative of the Vignelli style, and nicely executed. I like the slightly muted col🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划palette you🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve used: the green, purple, and red work really nicely with each other and the light yellow background. The blue water is perhaps a little dark for my liking, but it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s not too bad. And I really appreciate that you took the time to explore both design alternatives here: this is how we grow as designers!

Some comments that are applicable to both maps before we move on to the question of which is “better”. Overall, these are very solid, though I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d really like to see larger labels throughout. Y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划canvas is a 36 inch square, and y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划main station labels are set in 10-point with secondary labels are as small as 6-point. In my experience, this is a little too small to be readable at a reasonable distance 🔸澳洲开奖 printed out. Obviously, fixing this would require quite a lot of work to respace the map – enlarging the Boston area to accommodate the bigger labels and probably moving it up a bit to get rid of some of that empty space at the top right of the map would be my priority. The more rural areas can get compressed a bit to compensate. Even getting the labels up to 12-point would make a big difference, I think. And I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d come up with a different solution to labels for lines leaving the edge of the map: having tiny labels set within🔸澳洲幸运10预测 the route line is always going to be too small to be useful.

So, which of the two diagrams works better? While I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页m always an advocate of a diagram or map showing each route in its entirety from beginning to end, I think you🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页re right in saying it doesn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t matter too much for this type of diagram. Network coverage is probably all a prospective rider needs to see, and it definitely presents a simpler, cleaner overview of the network. That🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s not to say that I don🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t think you🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve done a good job with those major interchange stations on the system diagram, because you totally have. I think there is room to remove some of the ambiguity on the coverage map about routing for the Providence to Worcester Atlantic Rail line by separating it out more like the system map so that it doesn🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页t look like you can catch a train all the way from New York to Worcester: the radial or separated nature of the rest of the Atlantic Rail lines makes it pretty clear where they all go.

What do you think, readers? Do you have thoughts on which approach is more successful? Leave a comment below.

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测Kudos for taking the time to explore different design options! Get those labels up a bit bigger and these are both really solid diagrams!

I found y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划site very useful while making the map. Thank you for y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划amazing collection of helpful tips and examples that helped me avoid many first-time mistakes I would otherwise have made.

This map is based on official info and speculation. My speculations and assumptions are based on press releases and official statements, so nothing in this map is too unreasonable. In all likelihood, about 80% of this map may be a reality in 10 years🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 time.

I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve designed it to be used by regular commuters, and not necessarily to sell the idea to people. Therefore, I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve tried to design it for practical use and I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve tried to make it minimalist but not boring. I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d love to hear y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划thoughts and ways to improve it.

澳洲10开官网开奖🔸澳洲幸运10预测 says:

I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页m so glad that this website was helpful in y🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划transit mapping endeavour, and I think it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s turned out pretty nicely as well! You🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页ve definitely done a good job of untangling the denser parts of the proposed network, and the mode differentiation between metro (solid lines) and commuter rail (cased) works well. Overall, it perhaps leans a little too much on the much-imitated London Tube design style, but I think almost everyone starts there before developing their own style: I know I did!

The full list of stations and their grid reference are a nice addition to a comprehensive legend, though I think the type is a bit small and could fit into the available space a bit better. Also, be wary of old style numerals (where the descenders drop below the baseline) in tabular information like this: it can make those grid references harder to read. If the font supports it (and many modern OpenType fonts do), set this information using tabular lining numerals🔸澳洲幸运10预测 instead. None of the digits will drop below the baseline, and all of them will take up the same width, making those grid references line up underneath each other far more neatly. This setting can be found in the OpenType options palette in InDesign and Illustrator, so check it out.

The complaint about small type continues to the labelling, especially the tiny text naming the lines – for something that🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s meant to aid accessibility, it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s just far too small to be useful. Many 澳洲10开官网开奖 use larger bullets with a letter or number representing the line🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s designation at each terminus, which I generally think is more effective than tiny labels along the line itself.

Finally, I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页m not entirely sure about the typeface used for the map🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s title – Montserrat is a hard-working sans serif, but its alternate characters are definitely an acquired taste, especially that capital-slash-lowercase “M” and the curved “T”.

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测For a 🔸澳洲10定位胆全天计划effort, this is really rather good! The bones of the map are solid, and most of the improvements really have to do with typography – which is often underlooked in transit map design. Keep at it!

澳洲幸运十是官网开奖吗🔸🔸澳洲幸运10在线人工计划网: An Alternate Seattle Subway Map by Henry Chin🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 https://transitmap.net/seattle-forward-thrust-henry-chin/ https://transitmap.net/seattle-forward-thrust-henry-chin/#respond Thu, 14 Jan 2021 18:50:00 +0000 https://transitmap.net/?p=12993 Submitted by Henry, who says:

Here🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s a simple diagram for a hypothetical Seattle where Forward Thrust🔸澳洲幸运10预测 (the original 🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页60s subway) was actually built and where we would be today. If only we really had this level of transit.

I tried to make this kind of look like a diagram you might find in a newspaper, so it🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s not super detailed with a legend and stuff. Or at least that🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s my excuse for being lazy!

澳洲10开官网开奖🔸澳洲幸运10预测 says:

A nice “what if?” map here from Henry, envisioning a Seattle where construction on a light rail network began in the 1960s instead of later… much🔸澳洲幸运10预测 later. It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s the little touches that I like, like the latest work package being called Forward Thrust 3🔸澳洲幸运10预测 (or FT3) instead of the real world Sound Transit 3🔸澳洲幸运10预测/ST3. It seems that in this alternate world, Sound Transit was never formed, as Henry places the ownership of the network with King County Metro.

The diagram itself does have that “newspaper infographic” feel, so I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d say it works as Henry intended. While simplification is good for that purpose, I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d still like to see a version with the bodies of water that do so much to define Seattle – Lake Union, Lake Washington and the Puget Sound itself. The reason this network looks so similar to the planned ST3 configuration of the real world is simply because Seattle is hemmed in by water and there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s very few viable routes.

AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 little technical thing I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页d like to see fixed is the divergence of the red and blue lines south of Jackson station: if Henry nudged the change of direction on the red line down and to the right a bit more, the lines would change direction at the same point, which always looks a bit cleaner to me.

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测A simple diagram of what could have been, made with a minimum of fuss. Works for me!

Showing an alternate future where everything in a 2014 proposal actually got built, this is without a doubt one of the best looking Chicago 澳洲10开官网开奖 I have ever seen – just lovely work from Michael. Many designers have tried to integrate the Loop into the main map instead of using an inset before, but rarely as successfully as this. Michaels🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页 Loop fits the scale of the rest of the map really well, and just looks like it belongs🔸澳洲幸运10预测.

Despite being very information-dense (“L” lines, commuter rail lines and arterial bus routes all on one map!), everything feels very clean, spacious and well-organised. Col🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划is used intelligently to emphasise hierarchy – bright colours for the “L”, muted pastels for commuter rail lines, and grey for the bus routes.

It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s all so good that I can even overlook a couple of my personal dislikes – labels set in the same col🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划as the line they represent, and stations that are labelled multiple times – once for every service that terminates there. Sometimes you just have to let these things slide because the piece as a whole just works.

As a side note, how amazing🔸澳洲幸运10预测 would those crosstown “L” lines be if they actually existed, especially the O🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页Hare to Midway airport link? We can only hope and dream!

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word:🔸澳洲幸运10预测 Just awesome. It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s only January and this may already be my favourite map of 2021.
