Has New York ever been so wide🔸澳洲幸运10预测?

This intriguing diagram from the New York Transit Museum🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s collection makes the most of its landscape dimensions (possibly two pages in a guide book?) by going sideways🔸澳洲幸运10预测 as much as possible. Manhattan is impossibly broad, and the Bronx is shown as almost entirely to the east of it. Similar distortions happen just about everywhere, and yet – perhaps a little surprisingly – I still find the overall effect to be quite pleasing. It may not resemble New York🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s physical layout very much, but there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s a great graphic feel to it: the route lines are easy to follow and there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s a strong underlying grid underpinning the whole thing.

It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s always fun spotting the different services on old New York Subway maps, and there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s plenty to see here: the JFK Express stands out immediately because of its light blue colour, but there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s more to see the longer you look!

Down the bottom left of the map, there🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s a guide to calculating cross streets nearest to Avenue addresses in Manhattan that makes my head spin, although it probably makes perfect sense to native New Yorkers. See if you can work it out!

🔸澳洲幸运10冠军定位计划final word: 🔸澳洲幸运10预测An oddball addition to the many and varied maps of the New York Subway. It🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页s definitely quirky, but I quite like it in spite of that.

  1. Emily says

I🔸AB开奖网澳洲幸运10官网网页m confused by the B and the D — they seem to exist on both the BMT Broadway line and the IND 6 Av line.

    • Phil from Queens says

In 1988, major repairs on the Manhattan Bridge took the 6th Ave tracks out of service.

So there were 2 B and D trains, yellow B and and D ran from Brooklyn to Manhattan via Broadway and orange B and D ran from uptown and the Bronx to Midtown via 6th Av.

  2. This was back 🔸澳洲开奖 they were rebuilding the Manhattan Bridge. So they ran B, D, and Q trains on BOTH Broadway and 6th Ave.
